  • What are the event details?

    Saturday, September 7th, 2024. The event is open to the public from 10am to 5pm that day. Our venue for 2024 is The Dome Arena located at: 2695 E. Henrietta Rd. Henrietta, NY 14467

  • Where can I get a promotional post card?

    Post cards are available at many local bookshops in the Rochester area. For specific locations please email us.

  • Do I have to buy my tickets in advance?

    Advanced ticket sales are available through Eventbrite, however, tickets will also be available at the door. We accept both cash and credit cards.

  • How much are tickets?

    $10 General Admission (either in advance through Eventbrite or at the door)
    $8 with promotional postcard
    $5 for Children under 12 & Students with current student ID

  • Are refreshments offered?

    The venue does offer typical event refreshments. Pricing and selection are set by the venue. Please call them for more detailed information.

  • Why is admission charged for this event?

    The admission charged to visitors of the event is used to help promote and market future book fairs. As one of the countries oldest continually running regional book fairs we’ve found that promotion is the main way we are able to continue building interest and awareness in the event. This, in turn, allows us to attract more dealers from across the country.

  • What forms of payment do the exhibitors accept?

    This is completely up to each dealer and forms of payment accepted may change booth to booth. The three most used forms of payment are: cash, check, and credit card.

  • Is this event handicap accessible?

    The Dome Arena ensures that their venue is handicap accessible to the public. There are dedicated handicap parking spaces and no stairs to navigate.

  • Is there dedicated parking?

    The Dome Arena has hundreds of parking spaces which will be open and available to use. Signs will be posted outside which will help guide you to the closest parking and entrance to the fair. Handicap parking is also available.

  • Can I bring books to sell to the exhibitors?

    We kindly ask that all personal books be left at home or in your car. We do not allow books to be brought into the event venue. If you are interested in selling materials to specific exhibitors, you may speak with them and arrange a time outside of the event to do so. We reserve the right to refuse admission or hold these materials at the admissions table while you attend the event. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  • Can I have my books appraised by the exhibitors?

    At this time the Rochester Antiquarian Book Fair does not offer public appraisal of books and ephermera. While we understand (and share!) a love for books and a curiosity to know their value we do not allow books to be brought into the event venue by patrons. If you are interested in having materials appraised by specific exhibitors, you may speak with them and arrange a time outside of the event to do so. We reserve the right to refuse admission or hold these materials at the admissions table while you attend the event. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  • Am I able to exhibit?

    Exhibitor applications for 2024 are currently being accepted. If you are a professional book dealer, local author, local publisher, or own/run any business related to book arts of all forms we invite you to apply for this year.
